THE LIGHTHOUSE Oyster Bar Restaurant Functions

These terms & conditions are for the information of function organisers & their guests at "The Lighthouse" of 80 George Street Parramatta, NSW. These terms & conditions govern all functions held at "The Lighthouse" and are subject to change without notice

DEPOSIT & PAYMENT: I understand any deposits paid may be transferable but may be non-refundable and four weeks notice of cancellation is required and six weeks notice is required for functions during November & December. I understand that any deposits paid may be forfeited and/or credit cards held as security may be charged with a cancellation fee of $15 per person if such notice is not given. Cancellations must be made by the function organizer and confirmed in writing. The Lighthouse will pursue all means necessary to recoup cancellation fees for bookings which are not cancelled with the courtesy notice time set out irregardless of whether the confirmation form has been returned. Should I/we have elected to have an invoice to be sent and in the event of a default on payment the credit card number provided in bond may be charged with the balance of the account plus the relevant bank fees. The function organizer holds responsibility for the total bill of the group, food & beverages charges and any property damage fees. In the unlikely event of a dispute, these will be only addressed on the day.

GUESTS: I will confirm the final number of guests at least two days prior to the function date (which will be the minimum number of guests charged for. Should the actual number of guests be less than the confirmed number of guests, the non-attending guests may be charged at a percentage of the cost per person (at the discretion of the management). I will ensure guests abide by our minimum dress code (smart casual) and act in a legal, civil and reasonable manner and assume responsibility for the costs of any damages or rectification as determined by The Lighthouse or an insurance agency.

USE OF ROOM & FACILITIES: I am solely responsible for any equipment used, and damage caused, to or arising from the use of such equipment the costs of which will be added to my function's account I understand The Lighthouse may provide equipment, but it is in good faith and its exact suitability cannot be guaranteed without prior testing or inspection. I understand The Lighthouse is a signatory to the Parramatta Liquor Accord and promotes responsible service of alcohol to patrons. I agree to indemnify The Lighthouse and its director/s/proprietor/s from legal action should my guest/s be injured if engaged in negligent acts/omissions. Where no private room hire fee is charged, we reserve the right to seat other customers within the same room. Functions in their respective areas/private rooms hold first rights to facilities in that room.

INDEMNITY: I acknowledge that The Lighthouse will strive to ensure the successful execution of my function in terms of food & beverage service, but that there are external factors outside of The Lighthouse's influence which could adversely affect my function including but not limited to: weather, acts of god, the failures/actions of other groups etc. I understand The Lighthouse reserves the right to cancel my function in extreme circumstances and to make a complete refund of any monies I have paid and my claim is limited to such monies paid. At the end of a function I will recommend all guests to check their immediate area for any personal belongings. The Lighthouse will use all reasonable means to locate and safeguard any lost belongings however due to the high amount of access in the venue The Lighthouse cannot be held responsible for any belongings unfound.
